They are to push the inner races on the crankshaft, while protecting the crank ends also.

Now for as funny as Daericks posts were I think he was way off. Cpthook had it right all along. Now if only I could get that image of him waving his hook defiantly out of my head I would be better off.:eek:

Although ****** comes in 2nd. Could you imagine the damage a shell like that would cause. Hate to see that hole in myself!:eek: :confused:
