my buddy took his dale to a local shop and they told him he needs rectify ragulator (spelling) at least thats what he thinks he said he talked to him on the phone if this is a part can someone tell me what it does and were i can get one

start the bike up, and put a volt meter on the battery, now rev the engine, if it shoots up to 13.0 v or higher, you are fine, unless it shoots up to like 14v or higher.
If it doesn't reach 13.0v, I would first check the stator wires behind the flywheel.

a new stator has been installed on it already
