400ex or 250r shocks

Will they work if I make spacers for the the top mount. The longer stroke doesn't affect my arms because mine are moded to alittle over plus ones with heim joints. If they work what weight and arm length would they need to be to be close to the same setup as the correct arms.

They'll bolt right up w/the C'Dale bushing in them. Or atleast my PEP 400EX shocks do. Valving I've been told different things but my PEP's are valved for a 400EX +3 arms at 180lbs and yet on my stock width Dale arms, they feel a little light on big stuff, but great on small stuff or in the woods.
