I would say the same thing. If you want stock travel just stick with the stock a-arms. No performance gain in changing suspension components. Actually if you go with something other then stock a-arms with stock shocks they could perform worst. Shocks are valved and sprung to work with a certain geometry a-arm/frame set-up.

i want to go with a a-arm setup that has rod-ends and not the nylon bushings, for some reason i go through those bushings like a fat kid in a candy store, along with the ball joints, i have bought new bushings and balljoints and it seems like they are garbage after about 3 races (6 hrs) and i am tired of replacing them, i have no problem switching to long travel except the cost factor, i have blaze shocks now that have just been revalved and resprung,
