If the hubs had locktite you will have to heat them up to come off.

FYI, 450r hubs don't fit as tight as the 400ex.

The castle nut is finally off. I heated it up with a torch and then used the wrench with a cheater bar and wa-la...A first for me, I bent the rachet wile I was trying to loosen the nut. Talk about a seized nut!

i just tried the honda 400ex and 450r hubs today on the dale,i would use either one in a bind but both have more play than the stock cannondale hubs.both honda hubs were pretty much identical on the dale axle. Its not worth it to me for a extra 1/2 in width in exchange for slop on the axle.

My 450r hubs fit perfectly. Maybe it was just that set of hubs. Mine were fairly new too. Maybe that could be the difference.?
