Front Shock Q's

#1 Post by Redman »

I've read all the old shock posts and have new questions. I like to jump and take corners hard but the front stock Ohlins ( better than anything else stock) are not good for hard core riding.
Q 1= Does that dual rate conversion work?
Q2= Can you get compression Adjustable resiviors for them?
Q3= If I get ressies and dual rates for my stockers, would it be cheaper and better to get the blazes Ohlins or other aftermarket shocks.
I am on a budget and cannot afford $900 front shocks.
I need better shocks before spring!!!!

Thanks for the help!

Ohlins will rebuild your shocks. I think the re-valve and dual spring conversion was 220.

You can contact them at:

Thanks for the information.

Does anyone have this conversion?
How does it work?

I'd like to stick with these shocks, but it might be better and cheaper to get some used shocks off Ebay or something.

Just remember, with used shocks you'll be spending around $25 per shock for a re-valve and filled with new oil.

I'd call Ohlins first, then look at PEP's (Baldwins Racing)or Elkas(Quad Shop).
