a-arms

#1 Post by C_dale19mx »

Can someone tell me if the 250r or 400ex a-arms fit on a cannondale??? i was looking around and couldnt find too many places that did cannondale a-arms ( yes they are on this site i found some.. ) but i was looking to getting a used set maybe ...

anyways what im asking is are there any other a-arms that bolt onto the cannondales?

cannondales have a different taper on their ball joints so if you used ex/r arms you'd have to make sure you got different ball joints. haydug has a set of used housers laying around...:deal:

Just a couple companies that still make a-arms for the cannondale. Hermmann racing, Eyeball Engineering, you can get Houser through Doug, I know there are more, but I haven't looked in a while.

I doubt you can make any other machines a-arms work. It isn't just the ball joints. I am almost positive that the clearances won't work with a honda set-up. The tie rods will hit. If you do a search this was explained in detail by other people. I have only heard of one quad with a honda set-up and it was everything a-arms, spindles, calipers, the entire front end. It also needed a custom steering stem too. So break out the check book. I also never heard if it worked any better though.

250r a arms will work, I think if you change ball joints? Also a 250r +2+1 a arm is like a +2+0 on cannondale, or vise versa.

I have heard that 400ex, and early 250r arms work, but you need to use honda spindles, the c-dale spindles have different offset.

yes you are right about the spindels, I forgot that part, about the spindles. All honda a-rms from 86-89 are the same but the earleir models have a different upper ball joint assembley.
