Lower Ball Joints

#1 Post by CannondaleRider »

I can't seem to find the thread that someone posted, showing how they cut off the old lower ball joints and installed completely new ones to do away with the ball joint problems

I'm kinda worried about my lower ball joints. I wouldn't want to get it all running and nice........and wreck it first ride from a ball joint popping out.

I'll probably get a Houser/Elka front end not to long after its running, but i'll be riding the stock front end for a little while.

Anyone know where the thread is. Or can someone let me know what I can do

Order a set of new joints. Pack some lube in them and ride. Ive cut the originals apart and they had ZERO grease in them. The balls just grind the seats into dust until they fail. Any kind of lube at all and Id bet you would have never heard of any failures.
