Cracked Swingarm

Is this common? It looks like the bearings exploded or something.

It looks like you let the pivot bearings wear completely out then it rocked back and forth till it broke.

jwheat's swingarm did the same thing, just not quite as bad. Is it worth the extra $ to go ahead and go aftermarket? If so, where should I look? I don't have a whole lot of cash to work with.

You think so, personally i think they are pretty weak at the pivot area. Maybe the best stocker but it still sucks imo. BTW mine did the same thing except it broke completely off and no it wasn't the bearings either.

You've got to maintain the bearings, occasionally! Pull the swingarm off, clean, and repack the bearings. Clean grease works wonders.

I had brand new bearings in mine when it happened so that eliminates that possiblity.
