Any Updates? What are you going to do about the little metal inserts?

worked getting frame ready this last weekend, platers didn't seem too concerned about the inserts.

I"m on the west coast and anodizing my whole frame/sub would cost me $100. A lot cheaper than powdercoat. I chose to powercoat. Should have it back by end of week. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I was told that the 425 degree heat for powdercoating "may " affect the heat treat. Guess we'll soon find out. Let us know if the frame softens.

It is basicly controlled corrosion. which forms a hard surface.

I posted pics already. I had it powdercoated red. Have not ridden it yet so can't tell you if it softened it up. I'm pretty sure no strength was lost in the process.

Any news on that Gold Frame? I heard that too anodize the frame you have too "paint" the gold colored inserts, what happens if you miss one or something? Can you put new ones in?

Thanks

you have to make dang sure you don't miss one, the acids will destroy it. they can be replaced though, not to hard to do.
