beadlock mounting with pics

#1 Post by guthrie08 »

when looking at my rear douglas 8*8 beadlocks, it looks as if my ring is useless. when i put it on it does not come in contact with the tire, just the outside edges of the ring contact the tire. does this sound right or should there be some more of the tire around the rings mounting area? hard to describe but maybe someone can help explain if there mounted right or not. thanks

the tire needs to be on the outside of the rim then the retaining ring goes on. the bead gets sandwiched between the rim and the ring...hard to tell how you have it, pics kind of small
