Ok i mounted up my new/used LSR arms and it seems like at full extension the balljoint is hitting the spindle causing it to bind...I read a post about winky using 400ex ball joints and a spacer...did LSR do the same thing and im just missing the spacer? I know these are cdale arms because the tie rods are 14 and a 1/4 where as 400ex ext rods are either 13 and 15/16 or 14 and 15/16 depending on arm length...do i need to get my hands on spacers? seems like they barely rub...can i grind down the spindle a lile to fix this or will it effect its integrity? thanks for the help guys just real confused...also these arms appear to have more travel then my asr +2s did cuz i took the tires and rims off and the wheels were off the ground but now i need ot jack the bike up hire to get them back on now that i mounted the new arms is that normal?

do they bind with the shock mounted or without.it is normal for them to bing without a shock as it will exceed its travel.with the shock it should not bind.do you have the proper shock for those arms(right length)?the spacer they talk of is just a spacer that changes the taper of te balljoint where it goes in the spindle.does reall space anything out for clearance or anything.

Yes it is with the shock mounted....These arms are off a std travel cannondale with ohlins...and they were put onto my dale with Elkas that were the same length as the ohlins....It is when the shock is at the very end of its stroke the ball joints rub the spindles when turned near there extremes

is your caster set near where it needs to be?if it is way off it can cause this sometimes.make sure you have them spacers on the taper of the balljoints or you will ruin the balljoints and your spindles.can you post of a pic of where it is binding?

That is what he is talking about.Sometimes they get stuck on the joint or spindle so you might not notice them.
