Are They Full

#1 Post by hnnblehscnnble »

hey i just bought custom axis shocks from houser along with some +3 arms.well i have them almost installed and i notice the shocks arent verys tiff at all.when i was putting the arms together i had mounted the shocks to the arms and i forgot my set screws so i had to hold the bottom arm with shock mounted up by a rachet strap.if they werent full would i be able to compress them by hand?really worried now.it sucks that i just spent $1500 and now i think my shocks need charged.thanks.

with tripple rate springs and no preload they will feel soft for the first few inches of travel.but if you can bottom them easily by pushing on it then you may have a problem.are they new or used ?

Yes you can push them down by hand if ZPS.If fully charged the shaft should come back out on its own(remove spring)and when it stops you shouldnt be able to pull it out any more at all.
