I only thought TCS had triple rates wtf?? This is a quad rate shock shown here what is deal???

Thats a triple rate shock with SSD installed. Look at the top spring, its really thin, it will compress when the bike and rider get on it. Interesting artical BTW.

a triple rate is 2 springs with the ssd spring making 3 springs and this one has 4 springs even though the top spring is a sag spring its considered a quad rate hence 4 springs:)

I guess I never counted an SSD spring as a one of the rated springs. I've always heard of a triple rate shock with SSD, hence three wieghing springs and a SSD spring on the top. But I do see what you mean about a quad rate shock and TCS not having one. If you want to count them that way, I didnt know they put SSD on a triple rate either.
