450R wheels on my cdale

#1 Post by banzairx7 »

I picked up some new(barely used) front wheels and tires from a 450R for my cdale. It seems like the 450R might use a tapered lug nut? The wheel studs fit very loosely in the holes in the wheel. There are metal inserts in the wheel which I thought might be for the different lugs. If it does use tapered lugs are they the same thread and where do I get some for cheap?

Warning I dont know if they are all the same but my Dale the threads didnt go down all the way like a Honda when I put the tapered nuts on the threads in the nut got messed up then when I took the nuts off a few of the studs got messed up because of the nut being shot.

I found them on rocky mountain- the day after I placed an order. Isn't really worth the shipping costs for $12 worth of parts. I'll probably hit up my local honda dealer for them.

I'll take a look at the stud thread length. Worst case I'll thread them a little more.

That will work.It wont take much.It only messed up the first two threads in the nut.Be prepared for sticker shock when you price the Honda lug nuts.
