This sounds really stupid but are the tierods and balljoints supposed to have play in them? I heard of someone referring to the play as the "Cannondale Play" somewhere. From hearing that, it sounds like there is supposed to be movement? Can someone clear that up?

There really shouldn't be any play in there. They were probably talking about how some of the ball joints are really crappy and wear out. And the tierods feel loose sometimes because the studs will come loose at the steering stem. Also, the stem will loosen up at the base and create more front end play. Oh and don't forget about those wonderful a arm bushings. LOL. I have everything tightened up except the a arm bushings. I noticed my shocks having a little play in them too. I need to get both of these fixed soon.
