Im looking for a softer ride from the rear of my speed. Ive adjusted the shock many times after talking to some of the guys on here about set-up and its still just beating me really hard. Im looking for the ideal woods set-up for a 165lb rider. Im thinking right now about just switching to a lighter spring. Anybody else have this problem at any point? Whats the hot set-up?

Contact TCS, they have a great conversion for our rear shock. That option will probably run you about $250.

If you aren't serious about racing, then just try a lighter spring. Only down side to that is a main spring can run $80 and up and it may not be your main spring causing the problem, it could be the valving.

Im not looking for a serious race set-up but just a good all-round set up. What are the odds i need a re-valve AND a lighter spring?

Have you softened up your compression and rebound dampening, already? Also, there's probably some room to lighten the preload on the stock rear spring. Try those first. Sending it out will hit the pocket pretty hard.

Ive tried everything. The only thing im going to do is change the shock out to another ohlins...i have the one i took off the drag bike. I had Steve (c-dale27) look at the shock at the ride and he said there is a chance there is somthing wrong with it. What im probably going to do is just get a new spring and put it on the other ohlins. If it still sucks im sending it to the shock doc...27.

Yes his shock has nothing at all and then stops like it is bottomed but it isnt near the bump stop.Thinking it is low on oil.

Motospring is #698-29/90 L392
Cannible is #698-36/105 190 or L392

Check all the sources and if nobody comes up with one will call Ohlins.I know Dale Factory had them cheap when they were in business.Under $50 if I remember right.Suprised me.

I have one remaining new Moto rear spring, 90 rate .....but 311racer might have it also (and he already posted above).
Call for price if you're still looking, thanks.
