does anyone know if stock moto A-arms are long travel or can you use a 16" shock on them?

With Moto arms, you'll be shopping for new shocks! They are longer than our Cannibal's shocks.

Thanks. I wasn't for sure if i would need longer ones or not. I thought they were just +2.

What would be the best +2 A-arm I should get now?

I've got American Star +2's on mine and they seem to be pretty good and priced reasonable. The only problem I have had with them is the powdercoating started peeling off after it got chipped up and power washed a few times.

I found a set of American Stars for $505. I'm also considering Lonestar and Arens arms. Anyone had any experience with those?

I checked Arens' website and he has Cannondale arms listed in standard and long travel. Says they were suppose to be available in the spring of this year.

give him a call or drop him an email. My last conversation with him was that it was on hold. This was in April I believe.

John's a good guy and easy to talk to.

I've been trying to call him, but all I get is an answering machine. Guess I'll have to email him instead.
Has everyone that has American Star A-arms had good luck with them?? I will probably go with a +2 arm. I would like to go +3, but I don't know if that's possible w/o a long travel shock. I like to hit the trails occasionally.
