I've heard that Stock 400EX Rear Wheel Hubs fit on the C-dales and make it wider. Is this true?

Thanks

Why would the 400ex hubs only fit on a stock axle? I think the splines are the same on the factory and aftermarket axles.

I'm not sure on much about it but I've got a set of EX rear hubs ready to go on when I get mine back from the shop. I bought them not too long ago b/c somebody told me about 2.5 incheas which was what I wanted. Wider but not too wide for the trails and improved handling. Whether it's true or not I didn't want to pass up getting a new pair for $40. I can measure then once I get mine back and show you the difference though if you'd like.

Here is what I found buy comparing the two.

The dale hub is 2 inches long there is also a 1/2 inch beveled spacer that goes on before the hub.In total 2 and 1/2 inches long.

The 400ex hub is 3 and 1/4 inches long

I think the problem will be the ex hub will fit but not enough thread to put the koter key in to hold the nut.

But I think if you run the ex hub with out the 1/2 inch stock spacer it will work because the ex hubs are offset about 1/2 inch.

I will try and put my ex hubs on my rpm axel this week and let yall kow how it goes.If it works I will post some pics.
