Tie Rod Ends

#1 Post by OCR »

One of my biggest pet peeves on quads are loose front ends. I am replacing the front end components w more reliable parts like Big Winkys Bearing Plate and new a arms w sealed ball joints, but I need to know what Tie Rod ends to go with.

I obviously need to clear the frame and I want something that wont wear out after 15 hrs or so. Someone please help me out here. I thought I saw something about teflon lined joints, any ideas where to get them and what part # I need?

Another place to get them cheaper would be through 440ex4me. I am running a set of them for 6 harescrambles and they are still as tight as when I put them on. If you want I can give you his number. Just PM me.

Thanks for the help guys, I ended up ordering a set from RodEnd Supply. I got the Chromoly Steel Teflon/Kevlar Race units.

After talking w them for a few minutes, this is exactly what I was looking for. She told me these units are what the sand racers were using because they were self sealing and no dirt, sand or grit could get in the race.

Again, thanks for the help. -Chris

They were $14.38 a piece and had them sitting on the shelf ready to go.
