Width/Offset Question

Kind of wondering on this and not the best at all this. I'm thinking of adding some +2 a-arms to my Cannibal and currently have stock offset. I would like to make it less which would be 4:1 offset, correct? I believe I have that down but the rear is where I have the main question.

I was thinking of buying some new rims and can get good deals on ones that are stock 400EX offset. I've heard there's a difference between the two but not sure exactly. I wouldn't mind making it wider in the rear w/new rims but don't want it less. So what are the offsets of the Dale and EX rears? Thanks for any help.

Stock EX offset is 4+5, and the dale is 3+6, so using ex rims you will make the rear end more narrow. Hope this helps. -Chris

My back end has a DuraBlue +4 axle w/ all the spacers and the 3+5 Champion beadlocks with Holeshot MXR's. My rear width only measures 48". Is there a wider offset wheel I can buy to get it out to 50"? I've heard of several people with the same setup as me to have 50". I can't figure out why mine is narrow.+

Thanks. That was mainly what I was looking for as an answer other than if the 4:1 offset for the front was correct. Looks like I'll be out searching some more.

The 4/1 will narrow you up about an inch and a half from what I've read, if you were still looking for that information. I've heard it is definitely better handling to be 4/1 although it may be a little harder on the front end maintenence items. Hope that helped.

So if I want to get new rims that are the same as stock, what offset would I get front and rear?

I believe it is 3/2 and 3/6

Anyone positive? There is a good deal on beadlocks on exriders and I am ordering tomorrow and want to make sure I get the right offset. Heres the link: http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php...&threadid=79568

So go with the 3/2 front and just 3/5 on the rear shouldn't make that big a difference right?
