Subframe Mounting Problem

I need some suggestions. I had the left lower subframe mounting "hole" or whatever you call it break off. The whole thing didn't break off there is just a space in the mount big enough for the subframe mounting bolt to come through. I dont know what i should do about it, i know i guy that has a machine shop nearby, and i know he can weld aluminum. So i was thinking he could custom machine a new mount, grind the old one off and weld the new one on.

With out that part of the subframe mounted the subframe is slightly twisted so nothing(plastic, gas tank, etc.) mounts easily

any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
Chance Mayfield

I wouldnt cut the old one off I would have it fixed by TIG welding the gap closed. Then using a file or dremel make it look nice. This will probably not heat up the main frame as much as replacing the whole mount would. Some wet rags can be put around the area to lesson heating of main frame also.

Post a pic, sounds similar to a problem I had but not sure from your description.
