I've heard a few people say 400EX a-arms will fit. If they will bolt up, do they work properly? I know that just because they fit don't mean they work right. What are the differences in the Moto front end other than just being wider? What are the differences in wheel travel? I think I heard that Moto's have 19" shocks. True or false?

I pretty sure the 400 ex shocks will work but you have to put some spacers on it, don't know if they work right though, and the moto's do have 19 inch shocks, maybe somebody will come in with some more info.

I have seen people use 400ex complete front ends on the dale(spindles/calipers/etc.) but as for the arms, yes they are different.

the taper on the ball joint is different so you'd need cannondale ball joints or the complete ex front end.

And

the stroke length is different on shocks set up for a 400ex.

Also, the upper arms on the Honda are shorter and not as good of a design as the Dale arms.

Thanks fellers. I was just wondering because I see alot of people trying to sell 400EX a-arms saying they will fit. I knew there had to be some difference because I haven't heard anything about it here.

you don't want stock dale arms. they have the worst lower ball joints ever invented. they are known to break and most of them have a good bit of slop in them after minimal usage. a good set of 400ex aftermarket arms are reasonably cheap and plentiful and you can still use your spindles and shocks.
