Is there a difference in the Moto hubs vs Cannibal hubs, weight or strength??

moto and blaze hubs are magnesium. suppose to be a pound lighter but even the cannibal/speed hubs are pretty darn light compared to the japanese machines! not sure if they're any stronger but any hub will strip out if the nut works it way loose too many times.

I couldnt really tell that the magnesium ones were much lighter than the aluminum ones. Maybe a couple ounces.
