The manual says 125 ft*Lbs, how has people measured this b/c the nut is an odd triangle shape. What tool do you use to attach a torque wrench? What can happen if the axle nut is not tighten to spec?

I have seen in another post that the nut was refered as a preload nut and only said that a 4 - 6in rod as tight as you can will do.

Also what is the size for the cotter pin that comes with the LSR axle?

that stupid thing is the worst part ever made/designed for the machines. once you loosen it, it's all over... i can not keep mine tight no how. after 5 minutes of riding my sprocket and rotor hubs are loose. if it doesn't stay tight the hubs wobble and will eventually strip, rear axle bearings will fail prematurely possibly leading to axle/carrier replacement. we need timbomoose or '27 to make us some using a pinch bolt design!

I ditched mine and got a Lonestar brakehub which has a steel insert.Never had that come loose yet.

Same here. I highly recommend the LSR hub over stock. If you are skeptical of LSR i believe RPM makes one also.

I dont know a specific torque but i know ive tried many different torques with stock and it would never stay tight. I never tried locktite though.
