Hello all, I'm in the USAF stationed in England. I recently found a cannondale frame and subframe on ebay but the guy doesn't know what model. Is there a way to ID them? Will the plastics from a moto fit other models? I really like the idea of getting a cannondale frame because I LOVE the looks, plus I just happen to have a KTM 620 Duke 2 motor sitting on the bench. HHHMMMMM

The auction # if you want to have a look is 7938145586 and 7938904702

Also is there any problems with the frames? Any place prone to cracking? Cheers Phill

The quad frames are all the same with just a few subtle differences. Such as light brackets etc. There have been no frame problems to mention.

Well I would say its probalbly not a cannabal because it has plugs where the factory nerf bars can be installed. I would say its a 02 0r 03 frame so you could bolt any arms up to it without mods. You can tell moto frames because they will be missing the headlight support flanges on the top in front. I wonder if the sellwer realizes the frame is upside down. If it had headlight brackets they would be getting damaged from that. Get the Vin #
Its kind of a pain to get the newer gas tanks to fit in the older frames by the front mounts but they will go. You can bolt pretty much anything on the quads though.

That isn't true about it definitely being a moto. My Cannibal 02 had those plugs. Also if you asked the dealers around me they would get you the headlights. They came with the quad, but most people didn't bother asking. The frame will work with all Cannondale atv parts!

Where did I say it was definitly a moto? I said it probalbly wasnt a cannibal. Every fx400 and early cannibal Ive seen didnt have the plugs. They were solid but could have been machined out. My 02 speed had plugs. And my 02 moto didnt have wiring or ear mounts for the headlight brackets.Lord knows there could never be any 100 percent true statements about any of these quads. Cannondale was mixing and matching all the time. The good thing is you can make any frame into anything you want.
