subframe tabs broke off

I have a frame that the bottom subframe tabs have been broken off. Has anyone came up with a solution to this except loosing weight lol? Did you just weld washers to the frame if you dont have the original tabs that came off of it? One last question, how do you guys with the the 250r conversion kits have the brackets for the front and rear plastics set up? Are they home made? Thanks, Nick.
