Question about Shocks(Arvins)

I had a right front shock come apart this past weekend while I was riding my 03 Cannibal. It looked like a pin came out of the inside. Has anyone else had this problem. The # on the shocks are 6000630. I have never jumped this quad higher than 4 feet . It has about 18 to 20 hours on it. I have another set off Arvins that I bought with the quad that has the #6001248. Are these any better? Is there a known problem with these or is this just a fluke. Thanks

...not a fluke.....the 1248's are the replacement shock bodies they sent out to all of the dealers in the recall kit -- most of them languished on dealer shelves during the crumble.... as for the 630's?, too much confusion and reports likes your to trust them.

There was a recall of all Arvins with 618631 or 6000630 01 serial numbers for exactly that reason.Your dealer should have replaced them.
