atk claims 48 so sure with a stroker and 450 piston you would be more that 50hp. Aftermarket will add aobut 5 hp over stock then a 450 pistion a few more horse. So??? What about head porting what is the hp gain?? Maybe brads new exhaust will give more hp that the moto ti pipe!!

Im pretty sure they are talking about a stock bore stroker, about 450ccs total.

Show me a dyno sheet with an ATK at 48 horse stock. The only mod is a 450 piston which will only get it into the low 40's.

ATK does claim 48 but I don't see how a bigger diameter piston is giving you 8 horsepower.

I believe Timbo has said that the porting results in a small power increase, but mainly gives you better starting characteristics and possible a bit smoother power delivery.

ATK did their quote from a bike motor on a dyno. It might even be at the crank.. ATK doesn't have a dyno, but a Yammy dealer down the street does and that's the one I know they used..

When he said that he was talking about reangled injectors.Porting is where almost ALL the hp is gained.Stroking the crank gives the most USABLE gain in power.Puts power to the ground and makes quad easier to ride in my opinion.Porting gives it the kick:D
