I recently installed the status light kit from Cannonboomer. The red overheating light is blinking but when I check my radiator with an infrared thermometer is records around 185 to 195 which I believe is within the normal range. What would cause this light to misfire? The ECU? Also I am running Evans so I am under the impression I could actually run much hotter than normal and not cause engine damage. I know that is a dangerous way to go isn't it true with Evans and the fact it does not boil or go gaseous you have additional protection?

If the light is blinking slow it is just starting to get hot but there still must be something going on.Tempsensor is in the motor so may be alot hotter there.
