need help, i've searched all over thinking this might have happened before couldn't find it. putting my hydro engine back together, my manual says 10 metal plates then 9 of the friction plates. i have 9 metal and 8 friction and no more will go on the hub. do the friction plates swell or something. if i soak overnight will that free up enough room for 1 metal and 1 friction plate. i have my cable engine apart and combined i have 18 metal and 17 friction. if anyone can help please do so. thanks

If you have the updated thicker fibers you will only have 9 in there.

If thick its 8 Fibres and 9 steels. If thin 9 fibres and 10 steels. Desertbound is yours a thick or thin fibre clutch?

I have kind of a hybrid. My clutch was still new but had a bent fiber. It was the thinner ones. So I put a thick fiber in to take the place of the bent thin one, and because of that didn't double stack the first steel.
