Smoked my clutch

#1 Post by LapTraffic »

Went riding yesterday...
Tacoed a tie rod, lost a bolt to my starter relay, blew out the end cap on my exhaust, lost my rear number plate and smoked my clutch... all in all a pretty **** good day of riding! At least I never crashed smile.gif

My question is, given that I smoke checked this clutch pretty good should I be looking at replacing plates? Im not getting any slipping that I can tell but I noticed that smoke smell a couple more times when feathering the clutch through some technical stuff. Never as bad as the first time where there was copious amounts of white smoke, but noticable just the same.

Thanks for the help!

Check your tranny filter as you will have fiber in the filter clogging it up..

I get that smell all the time drag racing my t/a. It happens when you slip the clutch a lot.
