Axle Preload Nut??

How tight should the axle preload nut be???

tighten it down as much as possible without causing strain to anything. If you have teh stock axle, get those allen heads nice and snug, and take a little piece of metal or a screw driver ( 2 on the stock preload nut)

My preload nut was actually hand loose when i changed axles:eek: good thing i caught that. I just tightened it up VERy much, til i couldn't ne and it stayed for about 2months until i took it off..

Thanks, I will give it a shot!! Mine was loose also when I took it off.

Owners manual says:

rear axle nut - 125 foot lbs
rear axle locking bolts -15 foot lbs
