Stator wires

What's the deal with the stator wires. I have an early 03 LE that runs great until the engine gets hot???? After that it backfires, stalls, bogs down, cuts in and out????

The problem was that the wires coming off the stator didn't have proper sheilding and would wear through.

Thanks guys! This has been a very frustrating build for me. After a month of diassembling and reassembly and finally getting it run yesturday, it decided to tease me with this problem. I just checked the stator wires, mine is OK.
