why does does my muffler get so HOT?

should i leave it the way it is or should i set it correctly. they are the stock settings tho

I would lean it a little maybe 50 to 100 and run it for a while like a day of riding and check the plug.

whats the advantage to having fuel injection if u still have to screw around with the jetting

Well with fuel injection you don't have to pull the carb and change needles. A couple keystrokes and I am done. Also you can change the characteristics of the motor with uploading new maps. I'll take FI anyday over a carb!

Also jetting on a carb is more sensitive our version is just tweaking the settings.

Its alot more than just jetting. You can change the power to where you need it. A blaze map will keep the wheelspin down and make the quad docile enough to run all day. Then stick an aggresive map in for racing . Fuel mileage can be greatly affected by what map your running to.

the packing does burn out quickly on any cannondale. i think it has alot to do with the high rpm's and the extra short header. alot of heat is put into the exhaust.
