? about moving fuel pump

#1 Post by Blazinmoto »

I am moving my fuel pump to be on top of electrics tray like Abbots quad. Question is, is it safe to screw a bracket to the frame in that region or how else to secure pump well enough there. Thanx:confused:

..I dong tink id be drilling holes in the frame?..If you wanted you can out it under the ECU tray, right in front of the steering steam...As far as i know it has to be mounted to the tray,i think useing over sized washers or some kind of mounting plate will add stranth to it.

yep, that's the place to mount it, you can also look for a dirt bike bracket to mount it with, it's a cool looking aluminum shield that holds the pump and regulater together. I have mine mounted on the subframe though.

By that picture FUGITV, it looks like you screwed a bracket to the frame. Or is it screwed to the tray? Btw bad *** quad FUGITV.

i drilled a small hole then tapped it in the front portion of the frame ahead of the hollow section. basically, the cast piece that the shocks mount to.
