snap ring in trans oil????

i drained my trans today to find a snap ring in it ! where did it come from??? i tried to call doug about it and couldnt get him he put the bike togher and it may have 20 hrs on it .

Small snap rings are used on the plastic gears on the scavage pump. That is probably where it came from. If you pull your clutch cover, you should be able to see if one is missing.

talked to doug today it was from savage gear dropping motor and taking back to doug for whatever else it may need so it will be right for it new owner or parting out which ever thanks for all the replys
