i will also be installing a new slave cylinder soon. i read not to bleed it with a syringe rather to ziptie the clutch in a pull the master cylinder cover off and let it bleed itself over night. what should be done first- ziptie lever in or take off master cylinder?? or it doesnt matter?? :duel:

If you pull the lever in make sure that the slave cylinder isn't maxed out or it will break the stop and push the piston all the way out.

so how will i know if it is maxed out. seems kinda simple to blow your slave cylinder. i dont wanna F this one up

As long as it is on the engine and the clutch is adjusted then it won't be a problem. If not then just go easy with the clutch lever when you pull it in if, it gets hard to pull stop and loosen the bleeder while pulling the lever to relieve the pressure.
Why not use a syringe? I have always done mine that way and have never had a problem.
