If you take a new flywheel and put pins in it , it is much less likely to spin. Problem is the hub heats up when a crank main bearing ( flywheel side ) or a lower rod bearing goes out and the hub expands loosening inside of flywheel cast and then later when fresh snappy power is applied it will spin on center hub.
I have been pinning all mine and my friends( actually having ( Timbo do the work ) and have never spun one but at least 2 locals I know have.
