Need help with camshaft timing

Engine, intake, exhaust, EFI, chain, sprockets, etc.

Degreeing cams is going to be easier with the new flywheels having degree marks on them. Every two degrees with longer marks for TDC, BDC, I-106 and E-106. I know people might want to run different timing to stock in some cases but if you want 108 it's the mark after 106, being in 2 deg divisions. (the stock arrangement didn't warrant having 1 deg marks).

I got the intake at 104 and the exhaust at 106. Is that any good for a more low-end engine ?
Or is it better to go with 106 on the intake ?

Go with 106 on the intake.We have gotten really nice curve with higher intake than exhaust.Seems to get rid of the Cannondale dip.That said I still like 106I/108E for a great pull off the lowend.Never ran 104 Intake so I really am not sure.

104 will generally give rougher idle quality, more mid and upper-midrange but less top end.

running earlier exhaust will improve idle though, say 108 or 110.

What timing setting will be best for MX ? Rev limit will be at 10.000

Run it at 10500.Extra 500 is noticable.Go with 106,106 for MX.

I will limit it to 10.500.
