Glad you got it fixed. Can I ask what year this quad is and is it early or late? I know there was a change in impellar material at one point I am curious if this was one of the old ones. I'm guessing that it is.

I bought mine in November of 2001 but it is a 2002 model. So it's pretty darn early. The gear stripped out was due to build up of corrosion behind the impellar. it did not melt. I caught it quick. Unfortionately my new impellar didn't show up today. I have never been able to get parts when promised. I was suppose to go to Little Sahara OK. Thurdsday afternoon but it doesn't look like that's going to happen now.

Bobby,,,,if there is a big corrosion build up......have you checked the bleed hole?

There is no build up in the bleed hole. There was just some crystal build up behind the impellar. It's all apart waiting to go back together. The weather looks terrible for the weekend anyway. I have my Sand Stars mounted just in case. :mad: :cry: :drink:
