I'm no expert either, but you should soak new disc's in oil prior to using them, that may not have been done, leaving the marks. :drink:

A couple weekends ago I took apart my clutch assy, let the plates sit in oil over night (BTW the plates were not new and had been soaked in oil before). When I put the assembly back together I did just what the book stated and turned the screw out 3 turns. After I started the bike up, I pulled the clutch lever all the way in and shifted into first, the bike started rolling forward. So I took the clutch cover off and turned the screw in 2 turns, put everything back together, started the bike, pulled the cluch lever in and released, everything works, but I still have a grinding sound when I release the cluch lever. The grinding sound only is when I am in first gear and when the cluch lever is being released to the point the bike starts moving as I am giving gas. Any thoughts??
