well i think i figured it out. i opened up the silencer and half of the packing is gone. where the rubber mount is there is no packing there so its heating up real bad there.

That was going to be my next question. How long have you had that exhaust on your quad.

its blaze pipe stock, has 3 races and about 20 hours practice. the plug is really black. i took pics but dont know how to post them

being that the plug is so black i take it i need to lean it out or is it that way because of the pipe packing

Hold on post a pic of the plug first and we can go fromt here. You will probably need to repack your exhaust first. Then put a new plug in and do a couple top speed runs and check the plug.

When I woke up this morning that the first thing I thought of. You beat me to it. The titanium gives a color change when the heat gets to it. LOL ATK has the blue silicone rings for your clamp if you need one.

what blue rings, mine was grey rubber. also can anyone post a pic for me

They changed to a blue silicone which has a higher temp rating. I dont have any . I have been using asbestos exhaust wrap. When I was at ATK I saw there new quads come with it. Ill see if I can find a pic. FMF also has them on thier web site.
