will it hurt to run with out a muffler?

I raced the GNCC at the Wisp this year, i got hit the first lap and knock my muffler loose. I ran the first lap, pitted tie wired it on, made it till the start of the third lap, them it fell off. I put it in my camel back and rode the last 8 miles with no muffler. Man I was amazed at how fast everyone will get out of your way!!

i may not know a lot but i have grown up running sprint cars and i do know that if cool air rushes into an alum. head on shut down after running without a muffler or a header the head can worp it would be better to open the stock muffler and gutting it

I rode my Dale once without the toaster, and indeed, it does make some IMPRESSIVE noise
