11/05/04 Fri. Changed oil, first since one hour break-in.
8 hrs. on the clock. Engine oil was looking pretty clean. And the oil
fliter,,,,, twas a sin to throw it in the trash.smile.gif
Tranny oil, that was a whole other story.sad.gif dirtty nasty marbled,
Gray & Black. :eek: probably due in part to the new 5th gear, but
mostly from too many abusive hole shots.:hammer:
Still needs more gas in the upper R.P.M. range.:comp:
Saturday, pounded 2 more hours on it at Majestic Trails.:head:
Plus 2 seconds pounding on my left leg.:mad:
Me thinks the left, frount rim can be hammered out.:head:

Just curiuos how do you know it needs more gas in the upper rpm's?

The power falls off at upper RPM's. Fat & Black @ lower RPM's.
This has a custom map, that was leaned / lower & made richer @ the upper midrange to redline, after this map mod. , the top end
pulled mutch stronger, idle & off idle response improved. A sparkplug reading and exhaust ports (pipe removed) confirmed this. Just needs more tweeking.:comp:
The only reasion for the custom map, could not find an existing map to satisfy this engine combo.
