I would really like to clean up the look of my Dale so I was wanting to remount my fuel pump and battery and get rid of the airbox and ECU tray with the filter so I was thinkin about getting a clamp on foam air filter. But before I do, what all do I need to know and do? And, what size filter (diameter) should I be lookin for?

I just switched from k&n clamp on to UNI clamp on, they were both universals and the same size, 2 1/4 flange, angle 20 degrees, and 6 in tall. Dual stage UNI is nice in wetter muddier conditions.

Contact canniboomer, I know Dave has a kit (or I think so anyway LOL) that is a bolt on deal. He also has foam or K&N filters. I personally do not like a K&N, but Kenny (my mechanic aka: housercannondale) has a clamp on K&N and loves it.

I'd still beable to leave the ECU tray in its place right? Im gonna go up town here later and get a foam UNI but if I don't have any luck, I will get a hold of boomer.

just clamp the sensor out of the way.get any universal filter with a 52mm or so flange. This may not be the best set up for wet conditions but works well for me.Plus it only costs me a few bucks for the filter.i know old post but some people still own dales..lol
