dale not starting please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#1 Post by bombsquad54 »

my bud that bought my dale was riding down the road and the dale just quit, when you hit the start button it just clicks the ecu and fuel pump, nothing else happens, the motor turns over fine by hand and the starter will turn over if you connect it directly to the battery, keep in mind the quad quit while running, so its not the silenoid. i think, someone help!!!!!!!!

make sure you have the correct battery voltage. I had the same problem with mine. After I charged the battery it was fine. The wires that come from the stator milted from being on the head and lost the connection to charge the batt. and the bike died.

Not really. But all the electrical stiff was acting funky. Pump would buz once in a while but not pump. Starter would just click.

Hey Bomb, i've got a question about when you touched the starter wire to the battery. Did the motor turn over and was the key and everything off? Im having problems with mine too not wanting to fire up or even click.

Even if it was a brand new battery...
I'd check it anyways. Some are defective.

Also, if the stator shorted, then the bike would be running on the battery only which would kill it rather quickly. Good luck, wanablaze.
