Oh man... Well, I installed the status light kit on my 02 C440, it looks super cool, but.....
lol... The red temp light is coming on steady (never blinks) at start up (cold engine) and stays on...

I am lost as usual...... anyone with ideas?

Mine stays on all the time and there is nothing wrong with mine. So I would like to know also.

LOL....hmm

Well, maybe they are supposed to be steady and then start blinking when hot?.... That doesn't sound right though...
PS, my green also stays steady and the yellow goes dark after a few seconds with the engine running..........(both work as I think they should)

My green will stay on the whole time as it should I believe. I may need to talk to Dave again about it but I believe the sequence is as follows.

turn key on then hit start button once ALL lights come on
hit the key again to start and after bike is started the only light to stay on is the green one.

I think I have this right
Red light= temp
orange= equals oil/motor

Like I said I might need to run it over with Canniboomer again.

I know one thing they are a pain at night I have a chrome visor on my helmet and they reflect off of it and I honestly cannot see a thing(I may need to spray the bottom of the visor black). They do look nice though and I like mine very much.

Like said it could be a wiring issue wit status light.Green and red switched. Also could be old HEX in ECU.

Status light diagram (Cannondale)

black wire/green led- steady=ECU activated,
slow flash=10v (low voltage)
fast flash=9v (extreme low voltage)
orange wire/yellow led- slow flash=ECU fault code detected

brown wire/red led- slow flash=90c (temp warning)
fast flash=110c (over temp)

All red wires go together...................

This is from an old email from Dave........
