Ok guys I am currently rebuilding another motor... the motor I believe is an early motor... the crank has the number 100049 with a date of 01/2000...

None of the crank plate bolts or anyother were backed off at all... in fact they were all red lock tighted in!!

You may ask, "well if the motor is so solid, why did you take it apart?"... well I wanted to update the bearing.. and after trouble shotting, it was found that the flywheel was no good... Well sit back and relax enjoy the photos... motor eye candy..

This bad boy should be up and running next week.. need to get parts in..

BTW... this motor has around 200 hours on it... and the only thing that went was the flywheel!!!motor had over 200 hours on it!!

First early model motor? I have three with serial numbers lower than that (one is 1001). Keep an eye out for things that are slightly different. One is the crank oil seal on the flywheel side. It is a few mm different on the internal ID and will drive you crazy if you miss it with a bad oil leak!!

Good Luck

You have the elusive Unicorn case. That is the most desirable case as it has the strength of the older case, and the hydralic clutch from the newer style case. I have made a homemade version from the old style case. It's sweet.
