does the new atk 450 kit provide more power and less reliabilty?
My motor man is putting a 450 kit in do to older piston broke apart and wiped my new crank. also how is the z 400 crank that every one is doing? thanks

Im not sure about the 450 kit, but its not a z400 crank, its a z400 bearing....you can get them from Brad at Blackwidow ATV..The whole crank with the z400 bearing from Brad

The z400 crank bearing has been holding up real well, with no premature failures reported so far. It is at the top of the list when rebuilding a motor.

I have 150hrs of torture on my 450 piston. New rings at the 100hr mark while I was having the Z400 bearing put in.. It didn't need new rings ,but I put them in anyway..

thanks

I don't think you can feel any difference except maybe when its really warm and you gas it mid throttle oher than that its virtually unnoticeable, see if you can compare the stock size to the 450 , you are going from 95 to 97 mm, not very much

Look at my dyno numbers of my 450. You do the comparison..

I disagree, there is definitely a noticable difference. It may only be 5 hp but it is definitely a mod that you can feel. A lot of things weigh into this, there could be more compression on one of the two pistons, lighter weight, etc. Plus there are several different vendors and versions of the 97mm piston kit.

I agree with kdeal. I have a stock cannibal. When in glamis, I was on a stock speed w/hmf there. Then I took Armok's ATK for a ride. It felt quite a bit faster than the stock speed or my cannibal.
